As with all sciences psychology is partially based on a mathematical foundation. Or a doctor of philosophy. The math they say is not as straightforward as it needs to be.
The main issue is in translating problems being studied that are influenced by such intangibles as feelings into mathematical formulas but the introduction of computers and information technology has helped in this process. Most psychology programs will require some course work in mathematics and core science courses with an emphasis on biological sciences. Clinical psychologists most often have one of two types of doctoral degree. Classes in psychological research include studies of the scientific method research methodologies and evaluation of data.
Either a doctor of psychology which focuses on clinical settings assessments and therapy. A clinical psychology degree requires laboratory or experimental psychology and advanced statistics.
